Opal Matrix Ring and Labyrinth Neckpiece: Photographer Alan Richardson

Artist Statement

At present Architecture is a major influence in my work which inspires both geometric forms and organic sculptures. Movement is also a prominent force where rare coloured stones can be moved along the labyrinths of my work. My pieces are tactile, playful and sculptural.

I enjoy working with precious metals such as silver and gold. However, I also love to incorporate non-precious materials such as plastics; glass, resins as well as stone settings. I have a vast range of ideas and use a variety of techniques such as riveting, hinging, retriculation, rollering, etc. By using these techniques I try to create innovative designs by adjusting them to suit the needs of my clients, every piece is unique. I am constantly challenging the boundaries of jewellery design, producing both one off and commercial pieces. I am totally committed to designing and making jewellery and am extremely eager to get my work out there.I am also happy to take on commissions
