So have a look at the shop and purchase some really unique pieces of jewellery. I also have pieces reduced in a sale so you can still get some fabulous bargains.

Thursday is the latest day for posting but I will be available some of Friday at the studio. If you are in the Dundee area you can arrange to pick up and pay in person at my studio too. Just give me a call to sort out a meeting.

If you saw something at one of the many shows over the past two months I exhibited at which is not online then contact me about it. Not all pieces are on the online shop and I’ve already had some returning customers who didn’t buy something then and there and it sold later in the day or at another show.

Continue reading »]]> I spent the weekend working on a stock check. I found loads of old items which I have reduced in price.

Have a look at the fabulous sale items on my online jewellery shop.

Due to the outrageous price rises in silver over the last 18 month I have had to raise quite a few prices to make sure I don’t lose money on some ranges.

From the BBC you can see the trading price. What we jewellers pay from bullion suppliers for it is a lot more. What’s important is the % increase though!
Price May 2010: 18$ per ounce
Price May 2011: 45$ per ounce

Quite often someone will see an old piece and ask for another version of it made in their size. Recently I have noticed that my cost price to make was more than what the old piece was priced at. I of course honoured the old price but had to do something. Unfortunately this meant I really had no option but to review the prices of my pieces.

Old ranges and items reduced in price include both silver and perspex so grab a bargain whilst these last – when I made a sale basket of silver items at craft fairs last year they were snapped up very fast.

I haven’t completed going through my stock at home yet so still more to add later on so keep checking back.

Continue reading »]]> I visited Perth today to set up some pieces at a new outlet in Perth. Beyond Beauty is a different outlet to which I normally stock as it is a gorgeous salon and spa. What better chance to get yourself a fabulous piece of designer jewellery when you’re getting pampered.

Continue reading »]]> I have now created a link between the blog the shop and the main site so it should be easier for you to navigate between them all. If you find any broken links over the next wee while please let me know so that I can sort it.

When I start moving around some pages I need to do some technical magic to make the old pages still work – if you go to site.com/page1 and that is now at site.com/page2 then you should automatically get sent to the right place. Or if I remove a page for a ring that sold 8 years ago it should send you to the rings page and so on.

Continue reading »]]> I have had my website for a number of years and Alan has been managing it since 2005. In that time lots has been added to it, or changed on it but not much has been removed.

We are currently looking at the site, blog and shop with the view to update it, replace old images, cut down the number of pages on the main site etc.

But before we come up with a big list of things to change we want to know about users experience of the site. Do you find it easy to use? Is it easy to find things? Is there anything confusing on it? Do you want to see hundreds of old items I have sold or just what is in stock with selected older pieces? Do you only visit the blog or do you go to the main site, the online shop, my Twitter page and Facebook page too?
