This stunning small component aquamarine or tourmalinated quartz ring is handmade. It is inspired by the Scottish landscape and architecture. I used to spend my days as a child combing the beaches of Largs, on the West Coast of Scotland, picking up rocks, shells and sea glass. This is my inspiration of why I use irregular shaped stones and combine them with silver to make unique pieces of jewellery.
This little ring is great for everyday wear and could also be worn as a dress ring.
It is made from silver and aquamarine gemstone or tourmalinated quartz and has rollered handmade textures on the ring shank/band. Each piece is totally unique due to the different shape and colour of both the stones. The stone is secure but it also moves side to side, slightly. Aquamarines range from pale clear, blue-green, to cloudy blue-green. Due to the subtle colour of aquamarine, it goes with a lot of different colours so can be worn with many different outfits. The quartz has natural inclusions called tourmiles, which form inside the crystal which can be clear or more cloudy. These characteristics make each stone unique.
