These long textured rectangle drop stud earrings are handmade in silver and are inspired by the textures of the natural world, in particular the waves of the River Tay. Some people look at them and think the textures look like birch trees and others say it’s like waves of the water, so art is in the eyes of the beholder as they say. These earrings have been lovingly handmade from my summerhouse studio in the garden in Tayport, Fife.
Each piece is individually hand pierced out from recycled sterling silver sheet, which I then texture with different types of hammers. The stud wire is a few millimetres from the top so they sit on the ear then drop off of it and hang down. Some pieces are then curved on a doming block which you can see in the image photographed on the log. So variation of size and texture can occur from each set, making every set completely unique. Approximately 3cm x 1.2cm. If you would prefer these to curve the opposite way please get in touch to order your bespoke set. I can also make these flat sheet studs, just get in touch with your preference.
Lightweight and easy to wear. The hammered texture detail catches the light and sparkles. These particular earrings are matt finished, they can be made to order in a polished texture.
They are packaged in a luxurious black gift box with silver Genna Delaney logo and come with a gift bag, so no need for wrapping. The perfect stocking filler and great for everyday wear.
Any pieces that say on back order are part of my signature collections and have to be made up to order. Please allow up to 4 weeks before dispatch.
